Brought together by the Big Band passion of Henry K in 2003, the emergence of the B# Big Band has been widely anticipated by jazz, swing and dance fans all around Melbourne. B# are a dance band, a lounge band and a functions band…. A band that guarantees to get toes a-tapping and hearts a-pounding!
Whether it be a party to end all parties, or just a casual dinner get-together, Michelle and her crew of highly respected musicians have the versatility to create the perfect atmosphere for any event. Available as either a duo, trio, four or five piece, Calypso is adaptable to meet your individual requirements boasting an extensive song list of Dance, R&B, Soul or Jazz tracks.
Daniel Gassin began playing piano at age three and a half and received individual piano lessons from the age of four. He performs widely in various ensembles, including his own trio, duo and solo piano work. Daniel’s musical style is characterised by a strong melodic sense coupled with a solid technique. He cites Herbie Hancock, Brad Mehldau, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett and Baptiste Trottignon along with locals Mark Fitzgibbon and Colin Hopkins as his major influences.
The East Side Jazz Band is a professional band that performs as a duo, trio, four or five piece group. Performing swing styles with some Latin rhythms, waltz and rhythm and bules. This band have a full repetiore gained over many years of performing.
Orlando Combo gives you the genuine Jazz experience from one of Melbourne's best working bands. Drawing inspiration and repertoire from performers such as Miles Davis, George Benson and Frank Sinatra, this long running group covers the full range of Jazz, from Swing and Blues to Latin and Groove. Whether it's the Trio performing background music at an intimate cocktail affair or with guest saxophonist or vocalist for a feature performance, Orlando Combo offers total professionalism. The group also specializes in performing at weddings.
Peter has been described by Sydney Morning Herald music writer John Shand as “one of Melbourne’s shining lights.” A superb trumpeter and vocalist, he has developed a strong reputation in Australia and beyond in the past fifteen years as a professional musician. Peter is well known for his ability to move between genres. He leads numerous groups from an accoustic duo, a classic smooth jazz trio, to a rip roaring funky five piece that gets everyone up dancing.
Sarah is known in Melbourne (and indeed around the country) as an exceptional young vocalist and a wonderful interpreter of songs. If you happen to come across one of her performances, you can't help but stay. Sarah's style is mixed but it's mainly pop/r&b (with a touch of jazz and Latin in some of the songs). Currently, Sarah is singing around Melbourne in the act "Maclaine & Paix" (a piano/vocal duo), and also in her band "The Sarah Maclaine Four" (Playing jazz/pop and r&b).
Sofa combo provides the best of both worlds in evening entertainment. The band moves along with groovy jazz tunes, perfect backing to a quiet meal in a restaurant or over drinks at the bar. The combo can let loose with dance numbers after dinner and into the the night. The breadth of music allows the band to entertain at many types of functions and venues.

The band brings together some of Melbourne’s most diverse and experienced musicians in a blend of Jazz, Rhythm n’ Blues and Soul. The musicians in Big Buzz Combo have played a wide variety of venues and entertainment centres. From the vast auditoriums of the main tennis centres across Australia to major musical festival events both here and abroad.
The Swing Club is a unit of musicians currently performing jazz, rhythm and blues, swing and Latin classics at various venues and private functions in and around Melbourne. Providing a proven and balanced repertoire, catering for a wide variety of audience tastes, The Swing Club consists of two founding members, Steven Zammit (Vocals) and Mark Rigoni (Guitar).
