Welcome to the Heatwave Band Experience! Whether you are an avid Soul or Motown enthusiast or are looking to strut your stuff on the dance floor to hot funky disco tunes and modern dance grooves - Heatwave Band is your answer.

Heatwave Band’s newly formed lineup is bigger and better than ever before, bringing together superb musicians from all corners of the Melbourne music scene. A Motown-Soul renaissance was our calling and funky beats are our weapon of choice. We have worked hard to create a mix of great music that brings vintage sounds together with modern beats to bring great dance grooves to your waiting ears. Tight and funky, the band features strong vocal harmonies and a rhythm section dedicated to grooves that keep you groovin'.

Heatwave entertains audiences with a broad repertoire combining classics by artists such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and The Jackson Five with the funky tunes of today's popular dance artists such as Madonna, Rogue Traders, Scissor Sisters, Jamiroquai and Kylie. Heatwave will be sure to take you on a powerful Soul, Motown and Disco journey.

For our corporate clients, Heatwave offers three energetic dance sets which boasts a flavour for everyone. Themed and costumed to delight, Heatwave will help take your audience back to the time when flares were hip and the Blues Brothers were the kings of Soul. The first set includes favourite dance beats of today combined with the best of the Pointer Sisters and The Supremes. After a short break, Heatwave's second set will take you back with those infectious disco grooves of yesteryear, highlighting the legendary Jackson Five and finally you will be treated to some Blues Brothers flavour as Heatwave concentrates on the best of Soul & Motown. You'll be sure to shake that tail feather!

Heatwave Band members pride themselves on their performance, professionalism and presentation. From corporate functions to weddings, small clubs to large festivals, Heatwave Band have the ability to adapt their sets to suit any occasion. Heatwave's core six piece sound is undeniably full of energy, and punch, however if you would like to add to this already dynamic line-up, you may want to consider 'The Heatwave Horns' for that soulful flavour. To further enhance the impact of the band, Heatwave Band is also able to offer two dancers and a percussionist in addition to the nine member lineup.
